WisDOT AASHTOWare Project™ (AWP)
Knowledge Base

Welcome to the WisDOT AASHTOWare Project™ Knowledge Base (AWPKB)

The knowledge base was developed for staff who use the AASHTOWare Project™ (AWP) web based application.
Designers use AWP Preconstruction to enter engineer's estimates and create proposals for PS&E submittal.
Construction and maintenance staff administer their contracts using AWP Construction and Materials to track item
quantities, create change orders, track stockpiles, document construction progress and submit payment estimates.

WisDOT developed the Vendor Registration System (VRS) in collaboration with Infotech.
Within VRS, new vendors register and existing vendors update their vendor information.
The new VRS system is the first step to phase out the Civil Rights Compliance System (CRCS).

The AWPKB includes detailed documentation, training videos, and a frequently asked questions section for
AWP Preconstruction, AWP Construction and Materials, and the Vendor Registration System (VRS).
In the future, the site will provide additional guidance materials testing and reporting
and for the entry of payrolls for prime and subcontractors.

How do I request AWP system access?

AASHTOWare Project users

or modify an existing AWP account.

An AWP account is not required for VRS.
