AASHTOWare Project Construction & Materials™

Last updated: 2025-05-02

This section provides information on the applications used and processes followed by WisDOT to administer construction contracts. Contract administration includes the entry of daily work reports and diaries, item quantity usage, contract change orders, and pay estimates.

  • All construction contracts that follow the WisDOT construction bidding process are administered in AWP Construction. Refer to How to Administer a Construction Contract for guidance.
  • The department currently uses Materials Information Tracking (MIT), Materials Tracking System (MTS), and the Materials Reporting System (MRS) for materials report data entry. These systems will be phased out over the next few years.
  • In the future, the department will begin to incorporate AWP Materials to track and evaluate the satisfaction of contract material acceptance actions by quantity, contract, date, source, or location per WisDOT's contract specifications.

There are many acronyms used throughout the AASHTOWare Project™ system. Refer to Construction Administration Acronyms for a list of construction administration acronyms.
