The AASHTOWare Project Knowledge Base (AWPKB) has been designed specifically for engineers designing and constructing highway projects for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. AASHTOWare Project™ consists of multiple web modules the department has or will be implementing.

• AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction™. Design projects can be created AASHTOWare Project Estimator™, Q2P or AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction™. Proposals to be submitted for PS&E must be created using AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction™.
• AASHTOWare Project Construction™. All LET, DB, EM and PBM contracts are administered in AASHTOWare Project Construction.
• AASHTOWare Project Materials™ is scheduled to replace the Materials Tracking System and the Materials Information Tracking System. Pilots will take place in 2026 with implementation scheduled for 2027 or 2028.
• AASHTOWare Project Civil Rights and Labor™ and the Vendor Registration System are scheduled to replace the Civil Rights Compliance System (CRCS) in the near future. The Vendor Registration System was placed in to production on April 1, 2024. The entry of certified payroll reports (CPRs) in AASHTOWare Project Civil Rights and Labor Payroll (AWP CRL Payroll) begins with contracts awarded in January 2025. Entry of CPR (s) for contracts awarded in December 2024 and early will continue in the CRCS.
